Using MP3 Audio Mixer under Windows Vista, you get the following error message when you click the recording screen's "Adjust Recording Levels" button:

"There was a problem launching Window's Mixer. Please use Add/Remove in the control panel to add the Volume control component and then try this again."

MP3 Audio Mixer can't call up your soundcard's volume control software itself with Windows Vista. Right-click on the small volume control that appears in your Windows taskbar and select "Recording Devices." Right-click on the source you want to record and select "Set as Default Recording Device." Finally, click on the Level tab to make sure the volume level is adjusted properly.
